We continue with another beautiful example from baby blanket patterns. This time, we will make a corner to corner (C2C) cloud blanket. So far, we have knitted various patterns of baby blankets, including corner to corner blankets. We’ve prepared tutorials with video explanations and pictures, detailing each step of the process. Today, we’ll learn how to make a cloud blanket using a diagram. You can also use this technique to make pillows, rugs, and carpets. By changing the type of yarn, you can knit the blanket in different styles. You can use macrame yarns or t-shirt yarns to make crochet rugs or velvet yarns for the blanket. Just keep in mind that the thickness of the yarn will affect the size of the blanket.

In this paragraph, let’s mention the corner to corner blankets we’ve knitted before. If you want to knit patterned C2C blankets, you can check out the Snoopy corner to corner blanket tutorial. The corner to corner rocket blanket is also among the models you’ll love. If you want to knit blankets featuring characters from cartoons or books, you can look at the princess corner to corner blanket tutorial. Now, let’s move on to the new model: learning how to knit the cloud blanket corner to corner.

How to Knit a Cloud Blanket?

We’ve prepared a beautiful blanket pattern with a diagram. It’s a two-colored knitted blanket. You can knit white clouds, pink clouds, or green clouds. By choosing blue and white colors, we’ll start knitting from the corner. The blanket is crocheted with an 8 mm hook. We used 4 skeins of white yarn and 4 skeins of blue yarn, each 210 meters long. Start by chaining 6 and follow the diagram below to begin the blanket. Once the blanket is completed, prepare the tassels using a 18 cm cardboard. The dimensions of the blanket are 130 x 145 cm. Now that we’ve reviewed the diagrams, let’s look at the completed blanket.

Materials:

  • 4 skeins of 210-meter white yarn
  • 4 skeins of 210-meter blue yarn
  • 8 mm crochet hook
  • 18 cm cardboard for tassels

Instructions:

    • Begin by chaining 6.
    • Follow the diagram to start the corner to corner technique.
  2. Crocheting the Clouds:
    • Use the blue and white yarns to crochet cloud patterns as shown in the diagram.
  3. Completing the Blanket:
    • Once the blanket is the desired size, prepare the tassels using the 18 cm cardboard.
    • Attach the tassels to the edges of the blanket.
